Step 1: Open picture pic001.jpg in Adobe Photoshop

Step 2: Click New Layer and reset foreground and background color (Black & White)

Step 3: Fill in Gradient color (Layer 1)

Step 4: Select Layer 1 and change the layer blending mode to Multiply.

Step 5:  Final Outcome.
