Adobe Photoshop Tutorial - Thunder Storm Lightning

Step 1: Open "Dark Sky.jpg" in Adobe Photoshop.

Step 2: Duplicate background layer and set the duplicated layer's blending mode to Color Dodge.

Step 3: New a Layer and fill in gradient color (Black & White).

Step 4: Go to Filter> Render> Different Clouds.

Step 5: Invert the layer by hitting the shortcut key Ctrl+i.

Step 6: Go to Image> Adjustments> Levels (follow setting below).

Step 7: Go to Image> Adjustment> Hue/Saturation to add color (follow setting below).

Step 8: Change the layer blending mode to screen.

Step 9 (optional): Position the lightning and rotate it.

Step 10 (Optional): Choose eraser tool to remove the border.

Step 11: Final Outcome.
